A quick note on the Manchester Tragedy

Basically, I have been in utter shock all day since I woke up. So, in haste I have written these to short notes.

This one at 4 pm:

Moss Side in Manchester has made such a big impact of my life, so when I woke up this morning and read the terrible news about what seems to be a suicide bomber at manchester Arena, just off the main railway station…well, my first thoughts was, i hope there´s no one from Moss Side involved!

So far, it seems there has been no police raids there but in Whalley Range and Chorlton according to the local rag http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…/heavily-armed-anti…

My worries was based on what i not long ago wrote about Moss Side and extremeists http://www.mikaelstrandberg.com/…/25/moss-side-and-extremi…/

Obviously am in shock and worried since I haven´t heard back from many of my friends.

I am closely following the developments and obviously fear the consequences on society after this.

This one just after 8 p.m.

UPDATE at 20.03 hours

Well, see what I wrote below….no connection to Moss Side,..I wished and so it seemed a few hours ago… HOWEVER, now it does turn out that the identity of the suicide killer places him living (or having lived) only 10-15 minutes from our house, on Elsmore Road and the other raided area, behind the Estates on Carlton, the same distance. So I guess one could say it is in the area.

See googlemaps here https://goo.gl/maps/khrwyPKktqB2 we lived on Broadfield Road and I used to go to Abdi and shop almost every day, just a stones throw from Elsmore.

Such is life. The whole family is in a state of shock today. Just sharing a few happier and more interesting moments from that year in Moss Side.
